Sonatas for Violin & Piano
- (WEINBERG / SLAWEK / ROZANSKI)
- Format: CD
In the last decade or so, the contemporary Polish composer Mieczyslaw Weinberg has undergone a renaissance of sorts with his compositions receiving a level of attention from a younger generation of musicians that has been markedly absent in years past. Piotr Rozanski (piano) and Maria Slawek (violin) add notably to this recent phenomena with this collection of Weinberg's sonatas from the late 1940s and early 1950s that provide another compelling glimpse into the unlikely trajectory of this composer.
