Drawn in Chalk on CD

This album was mixed by Grammy Award winning recording engineer and producer Jeff Peters, who has worked with such legendary artists as The Beach Boys and Brian Setzer and currently produces the indie fave band Goldspot. The music on the CD was transferred to tape and analog mastered by Joe Gastwirt, another legendary engineer who has mastered music for the likes of Tom Petty, The Talking Heads, Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix and countless others in a stellar career that has spanned over 40 years! These songs blends elements of 60's and '70's power pop and rock together with modern elements to create a sound that is at once familiar yet distinctly original and timeless; a sound that fits comfortably into any era - yet never becomes dated, tired or trendy. The Turnback's complex, yet warm vocal harmonies add an aspect to their songs that is sorely missing from much of today's music. Awards: Jury Choice Silver Medal for Excellence Award for the Best Impact of Music in a Feature Film at the Park City Film Music Festival - May 2010 Best Original Soundtrack - The World Music and Independent Film Festival - Washington DC - June 2010 Best Original Music - Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival - Chicago - July 2010 "Cellophane Sky" (Best Digital Song) & "Nowhere" (Best Rock Song -TIE) - Movie Music Competition, The Garden State Film Festival Mashable.com - December 2010 - Video for 'Beyond Belief' selected as one of ten Compelling Music Videos Shot on the Apple iPhone.
