Fireflies & Other Ramblings on CD

In these times where the major record labels are putting out their cookie cutter artists, it's difficult to find music that makes one think...well look no further. Northern California based Chaos Recordings has released the debut album from singer song writer Steph Peek. The profoundly titled album Fireflies and Other Ramblings is a collection of ten stories that carry the listener through an epic journey of soul searching spirituality, intelligent commentary and a look at everyday reality. In the inception of this album Steph invited fellow song writers Michael Longenecker, Dave Longenecker, Nathan Schock and husband Jeff Peek to contribute to the project. As a result the album contains an eclectic mixture of writing styles. From the guitar driven hooks in Stained Glass Heart to the soulful lyrics of Love Saved Sinner there is something for everyone. In a recent interview with Steph she says,' I wanted to create and album that would stretch my abilities as not only a vocalist but also as a songwriter.' Steph's vocal performance on each track is absolutely stunning along with her Nashville based studio band this album is a treat to listen to. Fireflies and Other Ramblings is a must have for any CD collection. Make sure you check out her web site for show dates, movie clips, bio and most importantly to pick up a copy of Fireflies and other Ramblings.
