In Your Dreams on CD

In Your Dreams 'In Your Dreams' is a gumbo of smooth jazz, Latin & funky grooves, down-home blues and other elements, with a few solo guitar pieces sprinkled in for good measure. Different textures and sounds are explored here in the keyboards and guitars, some spacey and 'dreamy', some more intense. All original music, and all performed, recorded and mixed by it's composer. One of the selections on this CD, called 'Oompa Doompa', is featured on a compilation CD put out by SW Records, from Sacramento CA, to be distributed to colleges and radio stations throughout the US. 'In Your Dreams' is also available through E-Music and Audio Lunchbox. It's enjoyed a few sales here on CD Baby, and most recently, a nice review. I'm happy to say that In Your Dreams has sold in the US and also in Australia,Japan, Norway and Germany. Last CD Sold: 06/30/08 Vielen dank, Deutschland! For more info, please visit my website. FUN FACTS ABOUT THIS RECORDING: Equipment Used: Bill Cook archtop, Ibanez archtop, Ibanez 5-string bass, Ibanez classical electric guitar, Boss delay, Danelectro chorus, Cry Baby Wah-wah pedal, Peavey DPM Synthesizer, Fostex VF-160 16-track digital recorder. Cover photo: Jacqueline Crain (1929-2007), Sam's Mom, as a girl of about 7 or 8. Chosen for the beautiful, intelligent eyes. Sam Crain is a jazz guitarist and composer from Springfield, Illinois, with 19 other CDs to his credit-all available here on CD Baby. His playing has a strong bebop streak, but also contains elements of R & B and other styles, with a lyrical edge all his own- imagine perhaps George-Benson-meets-Robert-Cray, or along that line..
