Description

Professor Psyche on CD

Legend Has It: Professor Psyche was born and raised in Nanaimo, British Columbia. He was a happy child who strongly believed that ignorance was bliss. However, his mind soon changed when he moved to Victoria to study Psychology. Professor Psyche acquired a large amount of knowledge about the brain and human nature during this time. He began to analyze himself and his peers so much that he started to lose his mind. Professor Psyche moved to Montreal sometime during the summer of 2007, and no one has heard from him since. Rumor has it that he turned his back on society, headed into the hills, and went completely insane. These songs, which are being broadcast live from an unknown location, are said to be the only evidence that Professor Psyche is still out there, documenting his bizarre descent into madness. ___________________________________________________________________________ Bronchintinis Records is proud to present it's latest discovery: the edgy and creative \'Professor Psyche.\' The one-man a\'cappella adventurer (Jeff Cancade) has been compared to the likes of Bjork, Animal Collective, and David Bowie on his self-titled debut. The album was written and recorded in November 2007, using a laptop and percussive instruments such as tables, boxes, and of course, vocals. It is a concept album about isolation and madness, and the attempt to recapture blissful ignorance.
