Freedom Calling on CD

Phoenix is a rock singer from Orange County, California. Her music is an original compilation in the styles of Classic Rock, Southern Rock, and Blues. Her vocal style is often compared to Melissa Etheridge. Her CD delivers a variety of songs ranging from guitar driven rock to melodic ballads. Phoenix and her band truly believe that God and His Divine Intervention can make a difference in the life of an addict. 'Freedom Calling' is her personal musical testament as well as her music ministry. Phoenix has been clean and sober from cocaine addiction since 1989. She successfully worked through a Christ centered 12 Step Program. Her faith in God and her willingness to allow Him to change her life lead to her remarkable recovery from substance abuse. Her inspirational lyrics offer hope and encouragement for the addict who still suffers. She debuted the CD at a benefit concert for D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance and Education) in November 2000 in Palm Springs. Since then, she has headlined at the Coach House and the Galaxy Theatres; both premier rock venues in Orange County, Ca. She has also opened for major recording artists such as Leon Russell, Ronnie Montrose, Gary Hoey, The Lynch Mob, Molly Hatchett, Dread Zeppelin, and Dave Meniketti.
