Pale Moon Gang on CD

PALE MOON GANG PALE MOON GANG'S sound combines the urgent, idealistic fury of the Clash, with the raw, sexy passion of the Stooges, and the pop-punk sensibility of Green Day. This New York City band exudes the raw aggressiveness and tender underbelly of the city they call home. With guitar riffs that grab you and won't let go, Pale Moon Gang creates a thundering, explosive energy that comes on like a tidal wave of pure, defiant fun . Their self-titled CD takes on the modern world with a blend of criticism and humor. The opening anthem, "New Train Runnin'", is a catchy and necessarily fervent call for a revolution in hearts and minds. Then "Yeah X 3" affirms the teenage kick's addiction to "the coolest of the cool" object of desire. The band recalls their punk rock roots as they pay homage to one of their favorite outlaw artists, Iggy Pop, on their dynamic, upbeat version of "New Values". Their song "No Secret Safe" is outlaw storytelling at it's best, woven into one of their catchiest melodies and inspired by our pervasive surveillance society. The Gang questions society in the driving, frenetic rocker "Talking To Myself (To Get By)" which expresses the need for emotional survival amidst soul numbing attitudes. PALE MOON GANG is the product of a rebellious, dangerous youth spent on NYC's lower east side by Richard Dev Greene (lead vocals & guitar) and Luke Miller (bass & vocals). Their wildly fluid and untamed onstage rapport captivates audiences and makes them true believers. The surprising compliment to their sound comes from Brian Wolfe, an amazingly skilled drummer and true southern gentleman, who transforms onstage into the brilliant, manic "Wolfman".
