Music Art Life on CD

'Oteino is one of the more unique and thought provoking voices of our time. He is not only a gifted vocalist, lyricist and song writer but a organist and pianist as well.' Formerly know as or a.k.a. Larry Walton (Larry Owens-Walton) began his music career at a very early age in a pentecostal church in Alabama. In the beginning stages he traveled the southern states singing and accompanying church choirs on the hammond B3 and piano. During this time his talent brought him to the attention of Savoy Recording Artist The CMB Gospel Singers and thus becoming their touring and recording accompanist. Pianist during Prestige Recording years. This exposure gave Oteino the opportunity to perform and experience various styles of gospel music. Affording him the opportunity to accompany gospel great Dorthy Love Coaste and organist for gospel pioneer Shirley Caesar. In later years Oteino began performing, recording and touring with R&B, Pop, Blues and Folk acts thoughout the USA and Canada. As a solo artist he has performed at numerous colleges, university and clubs thorugh out the states blending gospel, blues, jazz folk and classic elements in his playing and singing style. Also - stylized R&B Ballads, Traditional Spirituals and early gospel classics and the blues - yes baby - the blues... Oteino has worked with the nationally recognized organization Child Find a service that registers missing and exploited children. There he answered phones listening to distressed parents or guardians and disseminated their information to the appropriate source for guidance. He later produced a benefit concert for 'National Missing Children's Day' (May 25th) staging popular regional and national acts. The concert performance was aired regionallly and New York City Metro Area. Since moving from the eastern seaboard to the west coast, Oteino continues to write songs about love, pain, indifference and the vast pleasures of life granted to us by the Great Spirit. During this time he has demonstrated his talents by performing with the world renown and one of the Bay Areas A Cappella singing group Louise Robinson and Street Sounds. Presently, Oteino is utilizing computer technology in the writing, performing and creation of his music. His goal as an artist is to blend his past social experiences into a humane consciousness and 'to imbues a style of music and song that engages the listener to hear, see, and watch humanity move through the social soup made by society'. Oteino is not only a lover of life and music but a lover of art and see all three inseparable. Each one depending on the other for survival for existence. Movement, rhythm, line, gesture, contour, shades, shadows and shapes...are elecments of music, art and life. Us. Education: The Hudson Valley Philharmonic School of Music Poughkeepise, NY 12561 State University of New York at New Paltz New Paltz, NY 12601.
