Diluting the Gene Pool on CD

Diluting The Gene Pool is a highly eclectic album featuring music and lyrics that change mood and intensity from song to song. The album infuses diverse influences with droning, foreboding melodies, dark lyrics, multifaceted drum work, distorted and acoustic guitars, blended with rock and punk overtones. Resulting in an avant-garde LP, that is somewhat reminiscent of early 70s heavy rock, combined with a shadowy, dense, metal sound. From the ritual sacrifice album cover, to the comical vulgarity of the song Strap On, to the epic manifestation of the opening track A Priori, Diluting The Gene Pool is a diverse CD that fans of heavy music should add to their collection. Recorded and mastered at Insane Sounds Studio in South Florida, co-producer and engineer Marc Karmatz nailed the bands signature sound with industry 'radio-ready' sound quality. Osiris Risings twisted depiction of life is painted perfectly on their debut CD. The album regrettably became a tribute to their lead guitar player, who died just 5 months after it's release in 2005, at the age of 23. 'Ibarras voice echoes somewhere between Maynard Keenan of Tool and Journeys Steve Perry -- really -- a rich, almost romantic croon that quickly snaps into an angsty bark' Jonathan Zwickel - New Times Magazine - Aug, 4, 2005.
