Greenlightning on CD

Passion. It is the pulse of our soul. It let's us know we are alive. Let the music find you. We were looking but could not find the passion in music that could satisfy. Sure it was easy to look back at the great ones who had created such intelligent compositions and edgy riffs that mirrored the words of the desires of relating to each other the confusion and heartbreak of a troubled yet mysterious existence. Remembering the first time a completed chord echoed out of a cheap amplifier bought by the earnings of our first job and the stirring inside that followed immediately. Have we forgotten? Music needs to reflect where we live and is a language we all understand. But lately it seems this passion in music has shifted to the very surface and immediate material needs of our existence. The deep longings of our hopes, fears and understanding go ignored. We have all given our hearts away at one time or another to see them only be smashed by a relentlessly uncooperative life. When we are at our quietest moments we cannot silence the screaming in our souls. When the world reduces us to the common denominator of being a mere number and consumer and we wish to be recognized as a living and passionate force that was created for a purpose. This music understands that drive. Sing with a broken heart and know that God accepts such sacrifice and dare to swim in the deepest parts of who you really are. So we play on and love this thing called music because it is so fine and let us be thankful for sites like this one who at least give opportunity to hear a new song.
