Illumine on CD

Underground. Visceral. Intense. With the release of their first full-length disc -- Illumine -- Now S... defies classification without denying it. Dance Wave Thump. Original Punk. Pop/Rock Spheres. From then to now... and into the 'morrow -- you'll see why every song on Illumine is wonderbound! Illumine - Now S... LISTENING NOTES: If you like pulsating punk rock on a hook, check out Love My Tape Recorder, Nevermind and Jenny Tumor. Want some cool tunes to drive to? Take a listen to Kessastella, If and Then, and Morning Star. Feeling introspective? Dive into Untitled Now, Something Said, Did and Illumine. REVIEWS 'Now S... uses tasty electronica to breath extra life into the songs which range from the kicked-back vibe of 'Untitled Now' to the ethereal title track and the ambient cyber punk 'Love My Tape Recorder.' The music pulses with backdrops of rock, groove and new wave pop with avant garde vocal work ... truly unique ... with modern flair and a dose of early 80's roots.' - Music Morsels - September 2003 '... What's going on here? Some grooves that hark back to 80's club music and alt-rock. There's some hints of Simple Minds, Bowie, even the Violent Femmes' puckish homegrown punk sound. Probably my favorite track was the opener 'Kessastella' with it's memorable groove and chorus ...' - Turk's Head Review BIO: In the beginning, an embryonic Now S... consisted of two junior high school misfits who spent much of their time listening to music like Bowie, the Beatles, and the Buzzcocks. The band's humble garage beginnings would eventually lay the foundation for live performances in the Southern California club scene, extensive studio recording, and songwriting. In fact, songwriting was to become the band's main indulgence. After a brief hiatus, Now S... reformed and has created it's first full-length CD titled Illumine.
