Just Like a Picture on CD

The North Lot are a 4-piece rock band from Boston, MA who have been described to \'blend together catchy melodies with crunchy guitar riffs and a dynamic rhythm section.\' After meeting during their freshman year of college, the four decided to form a band in April of 2006. That same year they released a 6 song demo called \'Haunt My Dreams EP\' and played their first gigs at local schools and clubs around the Boston area. Eventually the band reworked these original 6 songs for their live performance and began writing new material. The new material had a totally different feel. It was more dynamic than anything they had done in the past and full of energy. In May 2007 they went back into the studio to record one of the new tracks with local musician/producer Dennis Carroll. The result was \'Lonely Game\' which was released on the band\'s website that same month. After an overwhelmingly good response from their fans, the band decided to team up with Carroll again to produce their debut EP later that year. Chad Perrone, a well known singer-songwriter in the area, also came along to produce. What started as a weekend project that November, ended up lasting until April of the next year. The end result was a 5-song EP titled \'Just Like a Picture\' released in May of 2008. The band has been working endlessly to promote themselves ever since. After already scoring gigs at Boston venues including the Paradise Rock Club and Middle East, they hope to expand further outside of the New England area in the coming year.
