Never Be Broken on CD

Nirvana Singh Bio 'This album is an anthem for every person, that in spite of the heartaches, trials, pain, and tears, you 'may be battered and bruised, but you'll NEVER BE BROKEN.' The 22-year old exotic Caribbean artist Nirvana Singh, debuts her album Never Be Broken featuring her musical genius as a pianist, vocalist, and songwriter. A child prodigy, Nirvana began her songwriting career composing her first song at the age of seven. Classically trained by England's prestigious Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), Nirvana's musical talent speaks volumes for itself. Growing up in the Caribbean and Southern California, Nirvana's music is a blend of Indian, acoustic, soul, and jazz influences. A UCSD graduate in Graphic Design and Music Production, Nirvana brings a superior level of maturity and expertise to the production of her album. "The responsibility of an artist, in my opinion is far greater than to entertain, " Nirvana comments, "it is to entertain thoughts, glimpses, questions, and answers to present circumstances." Her music revisits the crumbling towers of 9/11 and gives strength to victims of domestic violence in the resounding anthem "Never be Broken," the vulnerability and passion Singh brings to her music, speaks a universal message for all people for all time. From the soulful opening ballads such as "Strength Within" and "Against the Grain," to the closing track "9 Eleven," Singh takes us on a journey of self-discovery and expansion, offering new perspective and insight. With the release of her debut album, Singh hopes to demystify societal myths in a sensitive yet deliberate statement, having experienced the pain and the catharsis she sings about. In particular, "Never Be Broken" was written as a direct commentary on domestic violence, giving a voice to all women in abusive relationships, whom like her mother, "may be battered and bruised, but never broken." "The power I find in being an artist," Singh reflects, "is using this medium to share the story of my own experiences. As a songwriter and musician, it is my sole intention to create this environment for an emotional connection to your story."
