Saxophonist Catarina New was born and raised in Sweden, where she graduated with a Master in music. Catarina came to New York to study Jazz at 'New School of music' for two years.Studying with world renowned artists such as: Reggie Workman,Kenny Werner, David Liebman, Bob Mintzer and Bill Evans, she became deeply involved with Jazz. Catarina New has an impressive track record of performances like: The House of Blues, B.B.Kings, La Ve Lee and The Playboy Jazz fest. In Los Angeles. She performed in New York, New Orleans, Brazil, Tahiti, Hawaii, Germany and Scandinavia. Catarina has performed with World Famous trumpeter Bobby Shew, Bobby Rodriguez, Vocalist Barbara Morrison and Anita O'day to name a few. Catarina who is also an accomplished pianist and vocalist has been composing music since very young age. Keyboardist Marty Steele, Who is truly a natural talent, born with perfect pitch and self tought, he is the most wanted and hired pianist/keyboardist in South California. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Marty steele's Musical journey has taken him through Canada and USA many times. Marty has performed at The Carnegie Hall in New York, Long Beach Jazz Festival, all major Jazz festivals in the Desert,toured 15 years with Roy Firestone of ESPN-over 1000 corporate shows, Monterey Blues festival and performed as opening act for Lou Rawls. Marty is also an astounding Keybass player and proves that on this wonderful CD.
