Glory of Christmas on CD

New Life Music is proud to announce the release of 'The Glory of Christmas,' the third recording project from Rusty Douthitt and the New Life Choir from New Life Church in Oak Grove, MO, located just a few minutes east of Kansas City, MO. Featuring over 20 Christmas songs varying in styles from Black Gospel to Celtic to Latin, as well as many traditional favorites, this collection showcases the choir's range and their contagious energy. Also featured on this CD are several solos, including the soulful 'O Holy Night' with Tammy (Wilkerson) Smith, the compelling 'Don't Save it All for Christmas Day' with Jessica Wasmer, and the enjoyable additions of Rusty Douthitt, John Wittmer, David Bickel and Shelley Myers. Titles include 'Winter Wonderland,' 'Let it Snow,' 'I'll Be Home for Christmas,' and traditional favorites such as 'Angels We Have Heard on High,' 'Hark, the Herald Angels Sing,' 'Away in a Manger' and more. Rounding out the collection is a stirring rendition of Celine Dion's 'Don't Save it All for Christmas Day,' featuring Jessica Wasmer. The New Life Choir has appeared in concert with notable artists, Alvin Slaughter, Geron Davis and Kindred Souls, David and Nicole Binion and others. Recent tours have taken them to Nashville and Lake of the Ozarks, as well as numerous Kansas City-area venues. In April, 2005, the group was recognized as the Inspirational Artist of the Year at the 5th Annual KC Christian Music Awards, where they were also named as finalists for Album of the Year, Group of the Year, and Worship Artist of the Year. They also were honored in April, 2006 as the KC Christian Music Inspirational Artist of the Year.
