Easily Made Easily Broken on CD

Heavily influenced by The Beatles, Wilco and David Bowie, The New Green have recorded a dense album ranging from lyricly complex folk ballads, Bone White Skin Tight and Joanna's Song, to up tempo folk pop bliss, Mature Alcoholic, Ivy League Skin, and Impeccable Woman. According to song writer Steven Clausnitzer, "Easily Made, Easily Broken, stands strongest as an album but works on a song by song basis as well". Clausnitzer's love of The Beatles and Wilco is evident, "I love using sound pastiches as a sort of sonic adhesive holding the album together. If you notice the first and last sound on the album are the same; we took my wedding ring and flicked it in the air and then suspended the sound". It is this sound that takes the listener into and out of this album. "Easily Made, Easily Broken is a chronological account of my relationship from first encounter to marriage and it intentionally leaves the listener wondering if it will work out in the end". On Nov 24th 2007 The New Green performed their debut album live to a sold out CD release party at Leopold Bros of Ann Arbor. They have quickly gained strong regional support with an ever increasing fan base. "Although I am incredibly proud of the album on all levels, there is nothing quite like seeing us perform live," says Clausnitzer. The New Green promises to create music for many years to come and with their penchant for pop hooks and ability to quickly produce songs of integrity and interest, they are a band to anticipate great music from.
