File Under Rock on CD

The New Boss is a rock band based out of London Ontario Canada. Their dynamic sound can at times be described as heavy riff rock with a dark edge, or at other times as uplifting pop music. This can be heard on their debut CD \'File Under Rock\'. Regardless of which end of the spectrum the songs lie, their music is always finely crafted and usually contains a melody that will stick in you mind long after the headphones have left you ears. They have been compared to bands such as The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Weezer, The Smashing Pumpkins and The Tragically Hip to name a few. When asked about influences they will outpour a barrage of bands from all eras and genres from The Beach Boys to Radiohead or Chuck Berry to Nine Inch Nails. Seeing The New Boss live is highly recommended. Expect to see an intense and engaging show of rock and roll. Two vocal/guitarists/songwriters front the quartet. Jason Drury and Dwayne Errington met at guitar lessons in a small town at the age of twelve and have been band mates ever since. The two styles of Jason and Dwayne serve to compliment each other perfectly. Multi-instrumentalist Jay Davis concentrates his talent to the drums and backing vocals. Joining the band just in time to lend his impressive bass style and backing vocals to the album is Michael Brunelle. As of this writing (August 08). The New Boss is planning a tour in support of their disc File Under Rock.
