Description

Singer with No Name on CD

I decided in the midst of my midlife crisis to finally fulfill a lifelong dream and make a CD of my own. I've been teaching English at Martin Luther King, Jr., High School (an inner-city school on the Upper West Side of Manhattan) for the past sixteen years. Although I love the teaching profession and the kids, I wanted to see if I could make a small dent in the music business, make some extra cash and have some fun. Hopefully, this album will bring people together to experience the joy that music and words can bring to get some relief from the nonstop daily pressures of life. If only a few dance and sing to this album, I feel I will have done my job. This album is dedicated to my beautiful wife, DeLisa Anne Brown-Guc (The Bravest Woman in the World). Special thanks to special friends Mick and Carol for their moral support throughout the years. To Mike Sparacino for the great photos and the philosophical discussions that go on endlessly. To my voice teacher (and wonderful tenor of superb quality), Bernardo Villalobos, who knew I had a voice before I did. And -- to my old writing teacher, the late Gerald Burns (may he rest in peace) for encouraging my poetic pursuits.
