Description

Sing Me a Song with Social Significance or Not on CD

This CD is based on a cabaret show that Nancy Stearns performed at Don't Tell Mama in 2006 with her music director, Gregory Toroian. On the CD they are joined by David Finck, on bass. A regular on the New York City cabaret circuit since 2001, Nancy has done a variety of theme shows with Gregory Toroian as music director. In addition to her yearly shows at Don't Tell Mama, Nancy has performed at Rose's Turn and The Encore in New York, and at Il Chiostro in Italy! In the work-a-day world, Nancy is a lawyer -her public interest career has included many years of constitutional and environmental litigation. Nancy is also the administrator for Helen Baldassare's Cabaret Performance Workshop. Andy Propst of americantheatreweb.com has said of this CD: Stearns has a true cabaret performers' flair, and you'll find that she uses her distinctive voice to give additional character to each of these songs.
