Listening for a Vision on CD

Two guys took a stroll through the vacuum. Like street urchins with mirrors they collected strange images. These Myth America words and guitar fusions you find on their CD, 'Listening for a Vision.' Leier and Holmes also collaborated back when the juices ran in a parallel direction. They knew that you either fit in, or you are out. They chose to fit out. As an undeterred duet they debuted at Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival back in the fog. They performed and recorded rarely under a series of aliases. There were snakes in the audience. With Glenn Ayers and bassist EJ Dickerson, they recorded a 45 buried in their backyards. The chilling 'Nineteen Nails' by Jazzmen Tea: nobody heard. While primarily a band of bandits from the Pacific Northwest, each MA member has spent urban time in unsafe houses flung far and wide across our vast country side. Joined by percussionist extraordinaire Glenn Ayers (recently with the Latin salsa group 'Bocinche' of Seattle), Leier and Holmes present the latest of their nuclear reactions, 'Listening for a... Fission?' No, 'Vision.' The CD is stylistically varied, with groove-oriented funk and Latin influences. Some of the tunes tend toward rock and blues as well. This makes the collection difficult to categorize. Stylistic choices were divined from the lyrics during heated creative dialogue, simmered in red wine, cooled in cups of Earl Grey. Listening for a vision: hear's looking at you.
