Mucho Gusto! on CD

Festive dance tunes from world cultures near and far, played with zest and gusto! Mucho Gusto is a Spanish phrase that means 'Pleased to meet you' and also means 'I like it very much.' Both meanings apply to this Northern Shenandoah Valley quartet. Accomplished dance musicians as well as concert performers, they play festive tunes from cultures near and far, old and new, with zest and gusto - and a slice of lime- on a multitude of stringed and acoustic instruments. Venues have included Bluemont Concerts and dances, the Waterford Fair, the Smithsonian Institution, The Inn at Little Washington, wine tastings, weddings, festivals, dances and countless special events. The group's self-titled CD, featuring traditional dance tunes and five Sam Morgan originals, is newly released on the Falling Mountain label. Accompanied by mandolin, guitar and fiddle, the accordion provides the link to many ethnic styles, from Cajun to Quebecois, from Galicia to Venezuela, from Appalachia to Africa.
