First off, i am not going to use any cheezy descriptions even though this website strongly suggests it. i will be completely honest. This CD was recorded at Hi-five studios in asheville, nc by jayro (yoko ono, Nevada...), mixed at Altamont (sparkelhorse, elliot smith) and mastered at the kitchen (chapel hill) by brent lambert (portastatic, crooked fingers, squirel nut zippers......). it is a very eclectic mix (vocally, lyrically, and musically) that i believe somehow manages to capture us as who we are/were. I came to terms with what captured my feelings in sound and i am happy with it. There are happy songs, sad songs, love songs, rock songs, and story-type songs and they are mine. Not one was written with the intent of sounding like something else (even though they inherently might). Britt and I began playing music together in 1999 in a band called morilla that toured the U.S. we played as a few other groups but that one had the most success. I like Morning Missed alot better because it is love. Not lust. It is my heart and it's emptiness, or my blood pushing me for more. We have been called 'haunting indie rock from Mississippi' hi five i will play my heart out just as much (usually more) alone in my basement as in front of a crowd. Morning Missed is my heart. This CD is the blood. I hope you can be a part of it.
