Venga y Aprenda Conmigo on CD

Mona Warner is a multi cultural biligual singer song writer that brings a variety of musical styles to the stage. Growing up with the folk tradition, Mona Warner incorporates traditional American styles that include folk, blue grass, Cuban, Mexican and South American tunes. Mona writes innovative new songs that speak to the political times. She also performs frequently for children and has a large repertoire of songs in both English and Spanish that are favorites amoung young listeners. Mona sings in an advanced chamber choir and she directs a children's choir for ages 5-8 in Portland Oregon. She is a native Oregonian that loves to travel. Recently she has learned to play the banjo. Other instruments include the guitar, various flutes and harmonica as well as a variety of rythmn instruments. After travelling to Cuba she produced an album of original songs (Deseos) that bring together some of the experiences that she encountered there. Full of surprises, it has been one of the best selling albums. Mona's new children's albums are fun for all ages...especially if you are learning to speak Spanish. Her articulation is easy to understand and the melodies are simple and easy to listen to. Mona harmonizes with her sister, Elise Tickner, and daughter, Brooke Bubna, as she weaves her way through a number of traditional Spanish language children's songs on three new recordings by Allegro. All three come with words that can be printed from your home computer. Take a listen to the new CDs and decide for yourself. People who own them, listen to them...often!
