Christmas Time Is Here on CD

Monday Off, a vocal quartet, was formed in 1999 while Sarah, Raymond and Rich were touring the country with the Broadway musical Titanic. Amy joined the group a little later on (replacing Danette Holden, who appears on the Christmas CD) and now all four members bring together years of experience in both musical theatre and jazz singing, blending both worlds into one, forming a unique and exciting vocal jazz group. Monday Off has appeared in performance in cities across the country, and on television and radio. They made their recording debut with Bucky Pizzarelli on the Victoria Company label out of St. Louis, with a CD titled 'Christmas Time Is Here' featuring some familiar and not-so-familiar holiday music presented in jazz and swing. Why 'Monday Off?' All of the members of Monday Off were once full-time actors in theatre, and traditionally, with some exceptions, Monday is the day off in theatre. Now people who are not associated with theatre at all still react to the name in a very positive way, wishing they all had Monday off as well. And it is singular: Monday Off. Many want to pluralize Monday, but the group likes to keep it just to one. The group performs regularly in amd around New York City.
