Kiss My Fetus on CD

Mona for Now is an unsigned alternative metal trio from Hollywood, California. The band consists of Rich Pancani on drums, Fabian Ruiz on guitar and Shey-la on bass and vocals. The band's sound is a combination of all three members' influences including the likes of Pantera, System of a Down, and the now defunct German band Guano Apes. The band can be seen locally on a regular basis in the Los Angeles area and have managed to put together tours that have taken them as far north as Seattle, as far south as San Diego, and as far east as Puerto Rico. Their shows are an amazing display of energy and passion; this is a band that truly loves to perform. Fabian's blazing chops and sonic assault is rivaled by none. Rich's hard hitting chaotic style of playing is almost tribal and truly a site to see live. Shey-la is an amazing bass player who knows how to play for the song without being dull and she sings with a power that far surpasses what one would expect from a girl with a small 5'-3" frame. "Kiss My Fetus", the bands latest release, shows how this band has grown as songwriters without losing any of their heaviness. The songs deal with everything from the way the present government is dealing with issues within this country and abroad to the everyday grind of dealing with people who only care about themselves. The band's go against the grain attitude brought them to Producer / blues great Alan Mirikatani of B.B. Chung King fame. His input was invaluable as the band's first producer.
