Visions on CD

Martin Pals was born in Leeuwarden, Holland. Already in his youth he loved old music and especially the lute. However he started playing in a hardcore punkband called M.O.G. After he lost interrest in rockmusic he took lessons from lute player Lex van Sante and started composing and performing with his lute. On the CD Visions, Martin not only plays Lute but also Mandola, Daburka and a Drum. He composed all the music and played all these instruments himself. Wow. Reactions from lute players: Stephanie Haxton said... Your music is beautiful! I love the Dance of the Fairies...I'd never be able to play that! ...but Morning Star is my favourite. New music for the lute, as Traversac Roger said....congratulations. Traversac Roger said... Beautiful and new for what concerns lute music ! Congratulations ! Great thanks ! Trond Bengtson said... I have been listening to your music and I like it very much. It's so important that someone writes new music for the lute. Great. Theo said... The music I heard here is really lovely. It is simply wonderful that new compositions like this are being created. Wish I could download them somehow for my iPod. Good luck to you with your compositions and ideas.Theo Johanna Maria Rose said... Martin! These are so beautiful! Did you write all of them? I love them--have you made a CD? It's so exciting to hear really great new music for lute! Andrew Hartig said... Quite nice, and very 'active.' I hope you'll make them available for other people to play.
