Many Are Here EP on CD

The intent of Many Are Here is to translate the visual forms of their own careers and interests within an aural frame work. A common link with each member of the band comes from the adoration of the visual aspects of their lives. Avenues ranging from architectural design to photography and film and television design are the influences which bond their creative direction. Looping the experiences of their lives to the sounds Many Are Here make and vice versa is what drives the 5-piece to write music together. Many Are Here has never been a forced issue. Although Many Are Here's direct lineage is from Village Green, the music is as much influenced by their other past collaborative projects - the ambient, acoustic-driven BIOFIDUS, the spaz-core AVATAR, and the hypnotic-breakbeat SNATCH. Through these and other extra-curricular projects their music has been outlet via, not only CD releases and live venues, but also film (Turnaround), video (I-Surf 4), art exhibitions (LUNA at the Metro, and various exhibitions at the Tap gallery), conference openers (Visual Effects Society LA), as well as radio airplay (2SER, Triple J, FBI (Sydney, 3RRR (Melbourne), 4ZZZ (Adelaide) and even student radio in Turkey). From the demise of Village Green, Many Are Here set about re-introducing more collaborative writing through a blend of post-rock intellect and prog-rock whimsy. Holing up in a secondhand car workshop for rehearsals, the new songs have been infused with expansive sound leant by the space. The aim is for each new song to incorporate a particular aspect of Many Are Here, whether it be semi-acoustic intimacy, ambient sonics, pure rock or collaborative work with fellow artists.
