All the rhythm tracks were recorded simultaneously and several tunes featuring instrumental interplay were recorded live in the Studio. For tracks 1-13 Tom Flinn used a 1951 Gibson ES-175 plugged directly into a 1964 Fender Blackface Deluxe Reverb. On track 14 he used a Custom Shop Reissue 1957 Strat plugged directly into a 1954 Fender Tweed Deluxe. Bob Corbit plays a Mark VI Selmer Alto sax, a Mark VI Selmer Tenor and a Yamaha YTS 675 Soprano; and uses Rovner ligatures and Rico Professional reeds.
