Seasons of Life on CD

...A little bit about Lois.... A Santa Monica, California gal who was raised in music, I began singing at a young age all around the house. My dad was a Russian immigrant with a marvelous operatic voice and a constant musical presence every day of my young life. I grew up listening to Mario Lanza, Caruso and all the greats. By the time I got to high school, I felt confident to compete for scholarships and fortunately, I did well. I attended Santa Monica High School and, later, Santa Monica City College and specialized in Musical Theater. I was lucky to land lead roles like Dorothy in 'The Wizard of Oz' (still my favorite!) and other shows like Gilbert and Sullivan's 'Trial by Jury'. But it wasn't until the 'big day' when I auditioned for my first Vegas job that things got interesting. There I was feeling nervous and scared but I let it all out anyway. Before I knew it, I was rejoicing in the fact that I had made it to 'front man' of Debbie Reynolds' back up group 'The Unusual We'. So I saw the world with Debbie. Toured the U.S. and made it to TV on such shows as the Tom Jones show, Kup's Show in NYC among others. Our group performed with Frankie Avalon, Robert Goulet, Della Reese and Harry James. Oops...am I dating myself? Yet my biggest gig hadn't happened yet. I met a guy. Yup. Suddenly falling in love felt better than singing. Before I knew it, I got off the road and into the house. I became a mom to my 2 incredible kids and went back to, you guessed it....singing around the house! Cut to 20 years later. You know the story. My kids are grown and now it's my turn. Singing is in my blood and I auditioned for and landed leading roles in many of the professional theatrical productions in Los Angeles....Ida Straus in 'Titanic', Lady Thiang in 'The King and I', Mother Abbess in 'The Sound of Music', Marie Dindon in 'La Cage Aux Folles', The Witch in 'Into the Woods' and more. The roles just kept coming and coming. My confidence soared. Recently, I was able to share the stage with Kathryn Crosby in a tribute to the music of Irving Berliln called 'The Melody Lingers On' which may play Broadway someday soon. My incredible voice teacher Eddie Sayegh produced this heartwarming collection of songs. I hope it means as much to you as it does to me. Love to you all, Lois.
