Loh on CD

WHERE THEY'RE GOING: Loh is a band that knows how to work hard. Every aspect of what makes them a band commands attention. 'We work hard to make and keep fans. Without them we wouldn't be able to do what we do,' explains bass player Kurt Maurer. The band wants to align themselves with music industry professionals that can help them conquer the next level. WHERE THEY ARE: Loh has just finished recording with Producer/Engineer Danny Malsch. 'Danny has helped us reinvent ourselves. He's taken the strengths we've had but refined them. He's taught us structure. It's given us a distinctive edge that other local bands don't have,' explains bass player Kurt Maurer. This new found direction has helped the band to make strong industry contacts. Loh has begun to target New York City venues. WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN: Loh's professionalism has established a strong rapport with numerous radio stations, such as WZZO, FM 95.1, broadcasting from Allentown, PA. WZZO sponsored Loh for two years at Musikfest. Musikfest is an annual event held in Bethlehem, PA. Bands such as Staind, Fuel and others have graced the Musikfest stage. Consequently, the band was invited for an interview to be aired on WZZO's weekly local talent showcase, Backyard Bands. Loh has fueled WZZO's intuition of being 'the next big act out of the area.' 'When some bands play, the music is excellent, but there is nothing memorable about the song(s) in the end. This is NOT the case with Loh! You have achieved what I would call the hook. You know you've got the hook when you find yourself spontaneously singing along and incapable of not feeling a sense of awe,' responds one fan. The challenge of obtaining the hook has come from doing their homework. Loh clearly defined the audience that appreciated the heavy message they were offering. Playing Musikfest and shows like it has helped the band establish a loyal fan base. WHERE THEY STARTED: Reading, Pennsylvania, a small suburb outside of Philadelphia, is home to the four individuals know as Loh. Singer/songwriter Mick DeAngelis fronts the group. 'Everything is written from the heart,' says DeAngelis, 'There is no fabrication or untruth to what I write and what I put into it.' Previous band mates in another group, guitar player Jack Gerhard and bassist Kurt Maurer join drummer Eric Earnest to round out the group.
