Let the Angels Sing! on CD

Linda Forbes Brookfield, a resident of Carver, MA, has just completed her first CD. 'Let the Angels Sing!' is a collection of light classical and traditional Christmas favorites. On the CD Linda sings and accompanies herself on the keyboard. She also sings harmony and adds other instrumental music in some of the selections. Linda grew up in Plympton, MA and started her musical pursuits at a very early age. She took dancing lessons, private piano lessons, and studied voice with Blair McClosky in Duxbury, MA. She was very active in the music programs at Silver Lake Regional High in Kingston, MA and at Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA. Linda attended Boston Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA, where she continued her vocal studies with Mr McClosky. Taking a break from formal training, Linda sang in several community choruses, raised three children, and was Organist/Choir Director for the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Stoughton, MA. For 27 years in Stoughton, she distinguished herself as a very capable director of a small church choir. During her tenure at the church in Stoughton, she studied voice with Lin Walin Schuller in Easton, MA and sang solos for the Stoughton Choral Society, Jubilate Chorale, the Harbour Choral Arts Society. Linda's decision to cut a CD at this time was to leave something for her three children, Jeff, Deborah, and Jon to have as a keepsake to remember how much music was a part of their childhood. Linda was also bringing her mother's intuition into reality. While a teenager, Linda was urged by her mother to record her voice harmonizing with herself. The project took on a life of it's own when many friends and acquaintances voiced an interest in obtaining a CD for themselves. Linda is currently Organist/Choir Director at the First Congregational Parish in Kingston - UU.
