5 Song EP on CD

Life 101 is a two piece band based out of Seattle. They play aggressive funk Rock, infused with hip-hop styled rhymes. Drums, Bass, and vocals are the only insterments used. On some songs, like 'life 101' the bass guitar is combined with a loop station to create a larger sound. Lyrically Life 101 covers a broad range of subject matter. Some songs such as 'What you want' stay serious conveying the message that life is what you make it, and if you're not happy the only one who can change that is you. While other songs like 'drunk girls' are just made to be laughed at and had fun with. Leo is the bass player and lead vocalist. The drums are done by Nate, who also does back up vocals. Being a band with only two members creates quite a challenge, a challenge these two live for, 'Nothing makes me feel better than when someone comes up after a show and says that they were feeling our music from the back of the club, but were blown away when they got to the stage and saw that it was just the two of us.', says Leo. This 5 song c.d. is Life 101's first. The budget was tight so the production is limited. Expect to see some of these songs on later albums. Life 101 is always putting on a show in or around Seattle, so if you're in town don't miss them. And of course, keep an eye out for future c.d.'s coming soon. 'There's a lot more where this came from, baby' 'I love this record, it always makes me sooo hot-a' - Nate's Mom.
