Integrity, authenticity and longevity are \'Old School\' values. Yankee Medic Records slogan is \'Old School Rules with high-tech tools.\' No one personifies this better than veteran performing songwriter LEM GENOVESE. You may actually use the cliche\' \'unique\' to describe him. Since he is the complete package. Lem Genovese pronounced: \'jen-oh-vaze\' IS that rare exception. He is the real deal, the genuine article and all of the above. His sense of perspective has been honed by a total of four decades of song writing and performing, 20 + years of service in the US Army and Iowa National Guard and two cultural exchange programs in Indochina - 1971 and the Persian Gulf - 1991. He knows both ends of the white and blue collar spectrum because his job experience has taken him from the tracks of the Rock Island Railroad to the office of the San Francisco Bay Model for the Army Corps of Engineers in Sausalito, California. When you listen to his live performance, you are instantly drawn into the narrative and his distinctive abilities on 12 and 6 string acoustic guitar. His music melds genres within a single song and defies easy categorization. From his instrumental for Gold Star Families \'Elegy For The Fallen\', to the stark reality of a post 9/11 America in \'Endangered\' to the joy of watching and excellent major league outfielder in his jazz instrumental \'Silence From Deep Center\', you realize that Lem Genovese has more than earned the right to cover all themusical bases. Jerry Raddatz - a scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers wrote in 2006: \' I know when I scout players, we look for ability and desire of the individual to perform with real inspiration in all facets of the game... Lem played from the heart and in baseball terminology it was really MAJOR LEAGUE MATERIAL.\' Yankee Medic Records also defines the three great passions of his life. He is a 3rd generation New York Yankees fan, a retired Vietnam vet & Desert Storm combat medic and a lifelong musician. He has performed in major league cities from New York to Los Angeles and has appeared in newspapers from the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune and the San Francisco Chronicle. He has shared the stage since the 1970\'s with the likes of electric blues guitar legend Luther Allison, \'Sixties icon Country Joe McDonald, the \'non-brothers Brown\' - folky Greg and reggae Tony, folk diva Dar Williams and recently with native American Grammy winner - Bill Miller. His most recent CD release is \'Six Lazzeri Lane\'. Yankee Medic Records is proud to produce his musical legacy. It's been written that you either make history, witness it, share it or ignore it. The music of Lem Genovese is nothing short of LIVING HISTORY.
