Do You Think? on CD

Lee Quick is your typical female singer-songwriter-guitarist-ex-Army bassoonist dishing out original alt. Country/folk/roots/Americana with a New Orleans attitude. Lee Quick's first album, 'Do You Think?', takes you on a ride through the wry side of folk, gyspy rock, alt. Country, and whatever else she was in the mood for. This lyrical, sharp-witted collection touches on a variety of styles different enough to keep you thinking quick. The CD was recorded at a shot-gun house in New Orleans' infamous Ninth Ward (before it went underwater in 2005). This eclectic album features ten Lee originals plus two co-written songs, including the fan favorite 'Folk U.', a tongue-in-cheek look at musical (and sexual) education. 'Bored To Hell,' with it's quirky, catchy hook, shows Lee's dark and unique sense of humor, and 'Do You Think?' questions your thinking, or questions whether you are thinking or not. A standout song, 'If I Apologize,' originally penned in 1940 by Lee's late grandmother, Ann Whitman Dudoit, generates emotional accolades from listeners; it's been described as 'something Patsy Cline should have sung.' Down-to-earth, straight-shooting, and occasionally funny as hell, 'Do You Think?' has both a brain and a heart. CD CREDITS: © 2003 L. Quick (BMI) All songs written by L.
