LGRM 1-Self-Titled on CD

The band's self-titled debut, LGRM 1 - Lava Girl and the Rock Monsters, is a full pallet of guitar driven songs that runs the gambit from the rockers SITUATIONS, THE SUN, SPORADIC CONVUSIONS, and the band's Theme song to the bluesy track LIFE. LGRM shows their emotion on the powerful NEW MILLENNIUM and warm WE WILL NEVER KNOW. Lava Girl's powerful vocals give the music weight and purpose. Her unique Lyrics and dynamic phrasing break the traditional mold of most rock singers. Massive guitar riffs and raging bass lines that wrap around the huge drum sound and thundering double kicks. The four member rock group based in Colonial Heights, Virginia, started with a couple of acoustic guitars and a notebook. The eventual drummer heard the raw set and joined in with what was available, pots, pans, and wooden spoons. Plugging in the heavy equipment, electric guitars and loud drums, they converted the songs into a living beast with a roar. The band made it's live debut in May of 2001 with a set of mostly original material at THE COPPER MINE in Petersburg, Va. LGRM entered a Richmond, Virginia recording studio in the winter of 2002. Working with Producer/Engineer Grant Rutledge (GWAR (Prod), Lamb Of God (eng)), they wanted to capture their band vibe and solid sound. Lava Girl and the Rock Monsters released the album in the fall of 2004.
