Journey Home on CD

Blind since birth, Laurel Jean began her formal studies of music at the age of five. She produced her first album, "Mood Swings", while still a teenager and has ten CD's to her credit. The music featured on Laurel Jean's "Journey Home" CD, was originally recorded in the analog studio of Crusade Enterprises, Flora, IL. You'll hear Laurel Jean's arrangements of traditional favorites like "Amazing Grace" and "When The Saints Go Boogyin' In", along with her own music and lyrics. "Vision Through Your Eyes" and "Song of the Holy Spirit" reflect on her personal testimony as a Christian. An experienced lyricist, composer, arranger, pianist, vocalist and speaker, Laurel jean travels extensively in full-time music and ministry. Her repertoire includes a fun and inspiring combination of Gospel, comedy, country, ragtime, Celtic, folk, blues and jazz sounds. Serving as an ambassador between the sighted and blindness communities, Laurel Jean dedicates a portion of all proceeds from bookings and music sales to the production of Christian material in Braille, large print and audio formats. When asked to elaborate on how her blindness has affected her life, she says, 'When we give God the glory in all things, our lives truly have meaning, and awesome things happen on the "Journey"! I thank God for the people who enrich my life, and the assistive technology, which makes my life more efficient. But, most of all, I can't imagine my life not to mention my eternity, without the awesome Presence of my Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus!" Mission Scripture for the "Journey": Exodus 4:11-12'...Who gives man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, The Lord? Go now! I will help you to speak and tell you what to say.'
