Everyday on CD

10 originals on the album 'Everyday' range from upbeat Santa Fe pop to bluesy adult contemporary. Laura Rodriguez writes songs with depth and soul. Laura plays rhythm guitar, and sings in a style that is uniquely her own. She is extremely versatile, using a variety of arrangements that range from guitar 'rock and roll' to a bluesy sound incorporating the cello, violin and flute. Laura entertained audiences around New Mexico for years headlining a variety of bands, opening for an international artist, and even performing in a women's prison. Her live performances are her signature, with a different twist each time. Laura performs in a diverse set of venues-local clubs to Community Days on the Santa Fe Plaza. Laura's debut album Everyday, which was nominated Best Album of the Year in the New Mexico Music Industry (MIC) Awards was a dream come true. Three of her songs from Everyday have received MIC award nominations in 1999 and 2000, A Santa Fe native, the emotion and passion of Laura's songs are biographical of the survivor that she is, on her own since she was 16. Laura has a deep commitment to her community, as evidenced by the talent she donates to benefit concerts including the Boys and Girls Club, Children's Miracle Network, and the effort to help inspire participation in the 2001 Santa Fe Aids Walk. Laura wrote and performed in the commercial for the 2001 Santa Fe Aids Walk, which aired on radio and cable television from March through May, 2001. Music is Laura's first love, and her music is for everyone-it captures the soul and enlivens the spirit.
