Salt of the Earth on CD

La La Jones La La Jones has been serving the Dallas community for seven years. This elementary school teacher sings a genre of music called HIP HOP GOSPEL. Her music can only be described as inspirational music for the people. Spiritual La La Jones addresses issues such as drug addiction and it's affects on the family (Powder), young women abusing their bodies (Baby Sista), and acknowledging one's self as a heir to God's kingdom (Goddess). These spiritual messages accompany hip-hop tracks that appeal to all age groups. La La has a voice reminiscent of Mahalia Jackson. Her soulful flavor accompanies hip tracks that are certain to make you get your praise on! Unlike some, this annointed songwriter praises God and addresses worldly topics that most shy away from. Her goal is to give guidance to the youth. Giving her history as a teacher, La La is familiar with what plagues youth of today. She addresses these problems and attributes God as being the remedy. La La Jones has spoke and sang in various venues. She has performed at Harambee festivals, The Ebony Family Reunion, E. M. Pease Elementary School, Loyola University, and a host of clubs and community events. She has sponsored events anti-drug rallies for children. La La puts on an energetic show and is revered by audience members of all ages. When asked her plan La La simply stated she wished to plant a seed: "I know my music isn't necessarily what fans of old school gospel are looking for, but most of them (old school) are saved already. They have a relationship with God already. I want to reach the forgotten. I want to motivate someone in the world to ask what they must do to be saved. I believe I do that through my music. God has allowed me to minister through song. It's a great responsibility and I am honored that God felt I was worthy enough to possess such a talent."
