Angelic Dreams on CD

Spirited, raw emotion is what Lain Livingston pours into his music. Whether the 25-year-old is singing a smooth ballad like Passion of an Angel or tackling a song about abortion, it is Lains emotion that keeps your ears and heart tuned in.Music has been a part of his life since he first learned to play the guitar at age 14.Within six months, he co-found the Christian rock band Soul Stained Velvet, which reached an admirable level of success by opening for popular Christian bands such as New Song, Bleach & Small Town Poets. At age 17, he left the band and formed Lavish Rage. It is during this time, he wrote Song for the Baby, a moving song about a close friends abortion. The band attempted to perform the song at Lains high school talent show, however, were not allowed on the basis that two of the members did not attend the school. It was then that God pressed heavily on Lains heart to play the talent show solo. After hearing his performance, his peers were amazed. To think that a 17-year-old had the talent to write such a risky song and perform it solo in front of more than 1,100 people spoke volumes. By the age of 19, Lain funded and produced his first solo album titled Angelic Dreams. While creating the album, Lain acquired a genuine interest in the details and process of producing albums. This inspired him to enroll in The School of Audio Engineering (SAE) in Nashville, Tenn.Lain also began working on creative directing, styling, location scouting, wardrobe, graphic design and photography for other artists projects. Since graduating from SAE in 2002, Lain has continued to write songs and work on other artists projects. In Sept. 2005, he was the head engineer for an album funded by The Mohawk Group which helped raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.Lain is currently recording new music in his home studio.
