Get on with It on CD

Kerim was born in Sweden, but his father being Turkish he has a dual background. He started playing the guitar in his early teens. It wasn´t until later his voice became a tool in the progressing songwriting. After a couple of bands throughout the schoolyears he started travelling abroad a lot, amongst, France and England, most of the time accompanied by a guitar and his compositions. In -96 Kerim decided to study to become an actor and ended up in Vancouver, Canada and stayed there for three years. During those years a lot of songs were written that came to define Kerim's style as a songwriter. Coming back to Sweden in the millenium he joined a band as singer and songwriter, a project that lasted for a couple of years, with some succes as a liveact and fine studiorecordings, but the ambitions in the band went separate ways and they split up. He started a soloproject in 2003 simply called Kerim, and has since than produced three EPs and two full-lenght albums, taken part in several soundtracks and played at the best venues. In the fall of 2005 Kerim decided to go to Istanbul in Turkey and wrote his first full-length album, that was released on his own label Carpets and Rock in March of 2007. Immedeately after that Kerim started to record older songs that had been neglected during a long period of lack in interest to produce acoustic material, and this came to be the album Get on with it, that has been greatly reviewed in major daily magazines and music magaszines during 2008. Kerim is presently engaged in creating cultural exchange projects between Turkey and Sweden and writing a new album to be released in the fall of 2009.
