"My Song Book" ** CLICK 'PLAY ALL SONGS' Broadband, on the left side of this page, for higher quality demo! ** Rich and robust Movie music, a little Latin, Jazz & Pop. A lot of fun! Start with intriguing Film Instrumentals, add a dash of Latin, Jazz and Pop into "the mix!" Kenneth Alan James "My Song Book" goes well beyond standard Top 40, featuring styles of music we all love! "Variety truly is the spice in music. I love so many styles, but this CD gave me the rare opportunity to focus on just a few that work well together." Kenneth Alan James is truly a dynamic Composer, Songwriter and Vocalist. A singer & songwriter since the age of 12, at 16, he started his first band along with some buddies from school. He then went on to become the Lead Singer of the alternative band "Tears for Jane". (KJ)" After "Tears for Jane" ended, I decided to go back to the drawing board and get some hard-lined training as a musician ,then as a producer and sound engineer. I've always loved and been involved with rock, but I wanted to explore other varieties of music that were an equal part of me. See, I grew up with a lot of jazz and watched a lot of movies and that music had always moved me.. My grandfather was an ex-Chicago dude. He was always playing tunes from Charlie Parker, Count Basie, Miles Davis and Ella on his scratched up old records. It was great stuff! I'd sneak into my mom's records, whenever I could, to listen to the music from her day, the 1960's and 70's. She liked a wide range of sounds, too. I discovered some of the greats in there, like Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass, Brazil 66, Jobeeme and some awesome early Streisand stuff. I guess that's why I love to listen to a variety of music styles. "I wanted to share a little of how I've been influenced by some of the greats, in this CD." " I think there's a lot of people out there like me. They don't want to listen to the same songs on the radio all time" "My Song Book"14 intriguing songs from Kenneth Alan James.
