Beloved-A Celebration of Community on CD

Laugh with a buddy. Watch the sunset with a neighbor. Tell another parent about something great that your kid said today. Cry on a friend's shoulder when things don't work out the way you expected. Play with a child. Notice something? Everything that you did went a little bit better because someone was with you to help you do it. That's the idea behind this CD. We enjoy creation, fall in love, raise our kids, have fun, and worship -- and when we do these things together, life can get really special, really fast. Note to parents: Young children love this album! But a word of warning -- your kids might ask you to 'play baseball in the rain'. ABOUT KATIE: Singer/songwriter Kathleen Brien's ministry is dedicated to imparting the love and glory of God through music. In nursing homes, Katie goes from room-to-room taking song requests from bedbound and terminally ill patients and their families. Her shows for community groups combine lots of fun and humor with a powerful message of hope and encouragement. Katie's goal for her songwriting is to uplift and inspire people who are trying to incorporate positive values into their daily lives as workers, parents, sons and daughters. Her songwriting themes include appreciation of the beauty of creation, celebration of community life, and recognition of commonplace, usually unnoticed, acts of heroism. Katie and her husband, Mike, have three active young boys. Their home is joyful, rarely completely clean, and never quiet.
