Leda & the Swan on CD

Artist, World Traveler, Non-profit Consultant, Community Leader, Weaver...these are just some of the many accomplishments and experiences that enrich Katherine's music. Her music portrays the places she's been and the people she loves through lovely interwoven melodies. Katherine currently has two recordings available. Her latest release, Leda and the Swan, features an expressive performance of her original composition for piano, oboe, flute and cello that tells the story of this famous pair from mythology. Crystal Canyon, her well-loved debut recording of original solo piano compositions was released in 1991. Active in the Colorado Springs community for over 35 years, Katherine has an extensive history of dedicated community service. She served on the Colorado Springs City Council and the Colorado Commission for Higher Education. She has led a variety of efforts for many organizations in her community. Presently, Katherine serves on the board of the Pikes Peak Community Foundatiion, is an honorary trustee of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and is the chair of the board of trustees of the Colorado Nature Conservancy. Katherine also advises numerous non-profit organizations on fund raising. But, music is Katherine's passion and she looks forward to spending more time pursuing her musical interests - as well as weaving custom designed textiles, painting, hiking, biking, composing and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
