Ten Shades of Love on CD

'Ten Shades of Love' is Julie's fifth album, and yet another example of her passionate appreciation for music and lyrics. This collection of songs is meant for people of all ages and cultures. The songs speak of the beauty, the passionate poetry, the musical genius and the collective experience that make up the many facets and shades of love. We hope our love for this beautiful music joins with yours, and, thus, these songs will remain forever, immortal. Julie's love affair with music began at age five, when voice and piano lessons became an ongoing part of her education. At the age of 16 she competed for a scholarship from the Bank of America in California to study voice at a renowned conservatory in Paris, France. She won. Her career moved at a slower pace while she raised her family of seven children in Venezuela, but certainly did not come to a stop. She learned to speak Spanish, and entertained audiences in Venezuela, on stage and television, while she recorded her first album, for which she wrote songs and lyrics in English and Spanish. Musical theater has always had a special place on Julie's list of professional priorities, and she has performed and directed on stages in two continents. 'The King and I,' and 'Promises, Promises' are two of the productions in which she played leading roles. She has entertained audiences in Nevada, Hawaii, Florida and South America, in English and Spanish. Julie says, 'A musical performance is not a 'job' that can be done for the sole purpose of making a living. One must have a sincere love for music and for people to make a performance memorable.' She has . . . and she does. Michael H. Stone.
