Life Is What I Make It on CD

Josh Estrada is a 15-year old residing in Ashburn, Virginia. He was born on July 15, 1989 in Bethesda, Maryland. His interest in the electric guitar began in 2002 while watching his Uncle jam out to some oldies rock tunes at a summer barbeque. Seeing and hearing Josh's great desire to learn the guitar, his parents bought him an electric guitar for his 13th birthday. From that point on, Josh practiced on his own, before and after school. He then taught himself how create and compose. He wrote his first song.Down & Blue, before his 14th birthday. Today, he continues to focus his initiative toward improving his songwriting, guitar playing and vocal skills. Josh's influences include Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, The Cars, and Blink 182. He listens to music from all genres and age groups. He considers his music style as pop/punk/rock. People from all age/social groups enjoy listening to his music, but Josh considers his target audience to be the younger 20's crowd, teenagers, and children. Fans have compared Josh to being the next Santana. And have compared Josh and his brother Jordan (age 14) to being the next Hansons, but with a different style and sound. Josh has performed at venues to include: Battle of the Bands contests, community centers, middle-school and high-school events, church fund-raisers, community centers, as well as birthday and neighborhood parties. One of his proudest moments was this past summer when Josh's Band won 1st Place in a Battle of the Bands contest competing against senior teens and college students. The panel of mature adults and seasoned musicians complimented Josh's songwriting skills, guitar skills and stage performance, all at such a young age!
