Trombone Player, composer and Arranger Jonathan Voltzok is a brilliant Trombone player and composer. He's ready' Slide Hampton In 2004 Jonathan received a scholarship for outstanding performance and ability from New School University's jazz program and moved to New York City. Since arriving to New York Jonathan has had the honor to work with the Dizzy Gillespie All Star Band, Slide Hampton's trombone all stars, Jimmy Heath big band, and Anat Cohen's Anzic Orchestra. Jonathan shared the band stand with some of today's most incredible jazz musicians including James Moody, Paqito Derivera, Junior Mance, Roy Hargrove, Randy Brecker, Frank Wess, Steve Davis, Antonio Hart, Greg Hutchinson, Avishai Cohen (the trumpet player), and Joel Frahm. Jonathan has played in some of the most prestigious venues and festivals in the world such as: 'Village Vanguard', 'Birdland', 'Blue Note', 'Hollywood bowl', 'Tribeca arts center', 'Litchfield Jazz Festival', 'Concertebow' in Amsterdam, 'Heineken Jazz Festival' in Puerto Rico, and 'Tchaikovsky Hall' in Moscow, and has been on the late night show with Conan O'Brian on NBC with the famous group 'The Brand New Heavies'.Jonathan has also performed with famed hip-hop star Q-tip. In addition to his sideman work, Jonathan leads his own group with which he has recorded his debut album 'More to Come'. The group consists of: Aaron Goldberg, Barak Mori and Ali Jackson with special guests Slide Hampton and Antonio Hart.
