Where Do We Go from Here? on CD

Musician Jon Tamayori sang, played and produced 'Where Do We Go From Here?' with help from Los Angeles guitarist Chris Wallace. Jon wrote nine of the ten tracks, adding a Nick Salomon tune in homage to one of his influences, the Bevis Frond. 'Where Do We Go?' is straight-ahead, basic, melodic folk rock with a tinge of psychedelia and a big dose of power pop, courtesy of guitarist Chris Wallace and songwriter Nick. Think late 60's band The Move meets Mary Lou Lord. Fountains of Wayne meets Freedy Johnson. Mathew Sweet meets the Beach Boys. Weezer unplugged, busking on a street corner on Maui. You get the picture. Try listening to the title track 'Where do we go from here?' (Track #1) -- a song about the depressing reality of U.S. consumer society -- and Nick's 'You got to unwind' (Track #2). Both songs feature well-crafted melodies, Jon's pleasant harmonies and Chris' fiery guitar chops. Jon lives in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Chris lives mostly in Los Angeles. Jon and Chris got together in 2002 to experiment and record songs in Jon's bedroom. The result was 'Where do we go from here?' The boys recorded and produced everything at home, and mastered it at On the Rocks Recording in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Feedback is welcome.
