- Artist: Jolly Roger and the New Blues Review
- Format: CD
- Release Date:2/25/2003
*** It is with deep regret that we announce that Roger Cunningham aka Jolly Roger passed away on June 14, 2007. His music will live on with the 2 albums we have recorded. The other one will be added here soon--Ralph*** Jolly Roger was formed in 2001 by Roger Cunningham aka Jolly Roger (Guitar & Vocals), Ruben Carrasco (Bass) and Ralph Stout (Drums). The band does a mixture of anything from blues to country to jazz and even rock. Some songs even border on heavy metal. Jolly Roger and Ralph Stout have worked together before in another band called Middle of the Road Gang. They played country and old blues along with old rock tunes around the San Angelo area for years. All along though, Jolly Roger has written songs since 1980 now numbering 46 and counting. It was decided in 2001 to record these tunes. In February 2002 the band went into the Regency Broadcating studio in San Angelo, Texas to record 3 albums. This is the first of 3 releases planned. We are proud of this work and Regency Broadcasting is pleased that this is a homegrown recording recorded by local musicians. We hope you enjoy listening to this original material as we did making it.
