Invisible Side of America on CD

Think Burl Ives meets Roger Whittaker with a little bit of cowboy, thrown in. Fabian Carangelo, of Portland, (now deceased) said 'one of my favorite singers.' John Paul Curnutt was born in Victoria B.C., Canada. Raised on the Oregon Coast - specifically, Garibaldi, Oregon. Attended Garibaldi Grade Schools, Columbia Academy, graduated Walla Walla College (B.A.) and University of Oregon (M.Sc.) John Paul bought a neighbor's Coulter guitar (a Portland guitar maker) for $10, when he was about 10 years old. He has played and sung ever since. He has played for weddings, funerals, retreats and camp meetings and has done concerts in Washington, Oregon and British Columbia for a variety of denominational churches. John Paul's first album, MINUTE BY MINUTE, won the EIM Angel Award for in the contemporary country gospel category. His second album INVISIBLE SIDE OF AMERICA is more about contemporary social themes. John has also played at the New England Rally for God, Family and Country (Boston, MA), played at Black Butte Ranch, Kah Nee Ta, the Salem Armory and at the Collage of Culture (an annual music festival in Madras.)
