Hope for the Future on CD

Opera on the Go" has been dazzling audiences with their virtuosity since 1986. Whether it be Classical, Liturgical or Broadway songs, the artists capture the essence of the melody and give it their own special interpretation. Hope for the Future is a musical montage, inspiring love and rebirth, with a poignant selection of memorable tunes sung with dulcet simplicity. Jodi Rose, Founder and Artistic Director of "Opera on the Go" conceived Hope for the Future as a memorial concert and CD, dedicated to her son, Thomas, with proceeds donated to the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House. This compilation of touching songs, produces honeyed melodies which will awaken the hopes and dreams in all of us. New York Newsday selected 'Opera on the Go' as one of Entertainment's Best Bets! Bravissimo! Their work is creative and vibrant, musically and artistically of the highest standard...their audiences LOVE them...in short, THEY'RE A HIT!' Jodi Rose, for 25 years, has dedicated 'Opera on the Go' to bringing American Contemporary Opera to children and adults everywhere, creating the audiences of tomorrow! Jodi has portrayed roles as diverse as the prudish librarian in 'Music Man'; to the illiterate Liza Doolittle in 'My Fair Lady'; to the flamboyant and loud Nellie in 'Showboat'. In the world of opera Jodi Rose has performed everything from a 10year old 'Little Red Riding Hood', performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra; to a femme fatale in 'La Traviata', performed in Vienna Austria; as well as touring the U.S. as a 70 year old Mother Hubbard in 'Babes in Toyland'. Jodi stages all 'Opera on the Go' productions, and three of them have been presented on NYC Public Television: 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears', 'Little Red Riding Hood', and 'Pirate Captains', as well as their song and dance musical revue, 'Showboat Rhapsody'. Because of her entrepreneurial work, since 1996 she has been written up in "Who's Who of American Women" as well as "The World Who's Who of American Women".
